Me? Blog? Well. . . .I'm not sure I could do that. . . . . well. . . . . maybe. . . .I could. . . . .
Anyone who receives email from me would chuckle as they think, oh, please, you write half a novel each time I hear from you! Of course you can Blog! Not sure anyone will be interested, but you CAN Blog!
So here I am.
I fell in love with creating jewelry about eight months ago. A serendipitous conversation I had with my Wonderful Friend, Kashmira Patel, owner of Sadafulee on Etsy, after purchasing a pair of earrings from her, piqued my interest and I decided to "dabble" and instead almost drowned as I jumped right in, head first! And it's been an amazing process.
I realized not long after I began that my soul had been longing for a creative outlet for a long time. I just didn't realize it. I lived my life until now absolutely KNOWING that I had no creative talent! My sister paints with oil! My brother does incredible woodworking, from tiny, little things to great big, huge pieces of furniture! I just assumed the creative gene passed me by. Whether I have "talent" or not is debatable. "Art" is a very personal thing. One person's love someone else doesn't get at all. That's just how it is. And it's true with jewelry as well. Something one person loves, another wouldn't even consider wearing. And so it goes.
The second item to sell!
So just as I'm settling in to my new Etsy Shop, SheFliesAgain, Kashmira was bitten by the Polymer Clay bug. Several of us, at the same time, had been thinking about playing around a little to see if we like it. I suspect I would have continued "thinking" about it for a long time, left to my own devices. Kashmira doesn't work that way! She used her incredible energy to compile a several week plan for a group of us to teach ourselves to work with Polymer Clay. That will be coming up very soon and updates will happen right here as we move along.
